An Epic Thursday
"Epic!" That's how Marq DeSouza describes our plans for this Thursday, Sept 24th. Marq hosts an amazing open mic at Trees Organic Coffee on Granville (www.facebook.com/treescoffee) every Thursday evening. Recently, Marq began playing drums with the Rick Parnell Band, sparking new energy and inspiration. So, when Ross Fairbairn asked us to play Puddle City Arts at the Railway Club (www.facebook.com/events/1683911648505006/) this Thursday, we opted for the earliest set - 6:30 p.m. Just enough time for Marq to play the gig and then quickly head over to Trees!
This rest of the band will follow Marq to Trees shortly after, to play individual sets of our own original material. Ian Lopez Ganoza, a fine songwriter and versatile musician is dusting off his material as you read this. Accomplished guitarist Graham Ronne, recently returned to Vancouver from Montreal, will be playing lead in the Puddle City Arts set, then play a couple of his own songs for you at Trees.
And of course, I'll play a couple of solo songs at Trees as well.
Join the fun! For the full experience, join us for the opening number at 6:30 p.m. at The Railway (579 Dunsmuir). Then come along with us to Trees (450 Granville St.) for some great open mic entertainment!
The first five people to introduce themselves to us at the venue and reference this blog will receive one of our "ultimate" flash drives, pre-loaded with all the music and videos as well as a link to access future material and bonuses.
